Introductions is a long distance collaboration between Jasen Reeder and Emily Jane Powers. Jasen lives in Hagerstown, Maryland, is actively involved in Yellow Mosquitoes and was a member of Page France. Emily Jane Powers lives in Chicago, Illinois, has recorded solo material since 2002 and has been a member of various projects in Michigan and Illinois. Introductions met at the Beat Kitchen in 2006 in Chicago and started playing music in 2007 with the assistance of the United States Postal Service. Brennan Conklin-Rosati, Alec Jensen, and Mike Nau make contributions to our first album “Hold Up Your Hands”.
